Let \(G\) be a semisimple algebraic group over an algebraically closed field \(k\). Let \(B\subset G\) be a Borel subgroup and \(H\), \(K\) and \(L\) subgroup schemes of \(G\) containing \(B\) such that \(H\) and \(K\) are contained in \(L\). The authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the fibre product \[ G/H\times_{G/L} G/K \] to be homogeneous. If \(G\) is simple and \(H\), \(K\) and \(L\) are reduced subgroups of \(G\), then the fibre product is homogeneous only if \(H=L\) or \(K=L\). But if \(\text{char }k>0\) there are many nonreduced subgroup schemes containing \(B\) and some of them lead to homogeneous fibre products.
