The author proves that each positive solution of certain rational difference equations converges to one. The results confirm the conjecture of \textit{W. Liu} and \textit{X. Yang} [``The global behavior of a higher-order symmetric recursive equation'', Ars. Combin., in press], which was suggested by two previous works of the present paper author.
