Let \(\mathcal{H}\) be the set of real numbers \(\theta\) such that every orientation-preserving analytic circle diffeomorphism of rotation number \(\theta\) is analytically conjugate to a rotation. The authors prove as their main theorem that ``for every polynomial with two finite critical values, and a Siegel disk \(\Delta\) of arbitrary period and of rotation number in \(\mathcal{H}\), there is an element in the cycle of \(\Delta\) whose boundary contains a critical point.'' They also mention a conjecture on rational maps: The boundaries of Siegel disks of rational maps contain a critical point whenever the rotation number is in \(\mathcal{H}\). To achieve the proof of the main theorem, the authors give many lemmas and several propositions to describe steps of the proof which are associated in interesting ways. They use the external map and separation theorem in their proofs. The authors also mention that their theorem has been extended to the case of transcendental entire maps by \textit{A. M. Benini} and \textit{N. Fagella} [``Singular values and bounded Siegel disks'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1211.4535}]. | |||
