The authors study viscosity solutions to \(-\sum_{i,j\neq 1}^n u_{x_i}u_{x_i x_j}u_{x_j}=1\) in convex domains under homogeneous Dirichlet data and first prove that they are 3/4 power concave and of class \(C^1\). Then they turn to the overdetermined boundary value problem in which \(|\nabla u|=a>0\) is added. They analyze the P-function of Buttazzo and Kawohl and strengthen their previous result, which required an additional assumption. Any solution on a convex domain, which is of class \(C^1\) near the boundary, can now only exist on a stadium type domain or, if \(\partial\Omega\) is assumed to be of class \(C^2\), only on a ball. Reviewer's remark: The open problem in Remark 3 has been resolved by the authors in 2016 [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 144, No. 6, 2547--2558 (2016; Zbl 1338.35082)]. Both results have just been generalized by Michael Kühn.
