Let \(G\) be a \(\sigma\)-compact locally compact abelian group with Haar measure \(\mu\) and let \(U\) be a unitary representation of \(G\) in a separable Hilbert space \(\mathcal H\). Assume that, for a fixed \(a\in \mathcal H\), the orbit \(\{U(t)a:t\in G\}\) is a continuous frame for its closed linear span. The first result of the paper (appearing on p.13 of the paper!) gives a sampling formula, where the data sampling functions also are defined using \(U\). The result is illustrated for the Payley-Wiener space and certain shift invariant subspaces on \(\mathbb R\).
