Let \(G\) be the infinite dimensional Grassmann algebra over an infinite field \(F\) of characteristic different from 2. This algebra plays a prominent role in the theory of algebras with polynomial identities. Let \(L\) be a finite dimensional Lie algebra of inner derivations of \(G\). The author describes a finite generating set of the differential identities of \(G\) with respect to the action of \(L\) on \(G\). Moreover, she computes explicitly the corresponding codimensions. She obtains that the \(n\)-th codimension grows asymptotically as \(2^t 2^{n-1}\) where \(t\) is the dimension of \(L\). As a consequence the author deduces that the variety defined by \(G\) with the \(L\)-action is not of almost polynomial growth. Recall that it is well known that in the case of ordinary polynomial identities \(G\) is of almost polynomial growth. Moreover, assuming the field \(F\) of characteristic 0, the author computes explicitly the differential cocharacter of \(G\).
