There are two main theorems obtained as follows, with some explicit computations. First, for any extension \(A\) of \(C^*\)-algebras that is quasidiagonal, if its closed ideal \(I\) and quotient \(C^*\)-algebra \(B\) have tracial topological rank less than or equal to \(1\) (\(\mathrm{TR}\leq 1\)), then so does \(A\). Second, if an extension \(A\) of \(C^*\)-algebras is tracially quasidiagonal, and if the same condition as above (\(\mathrm{TR}\leq 1\)) holds, then \(A\) has another property \((P_1)\), similar to \(\mathrm{TR}\leq 1\). Note that a \(C^*\)-algebra with (\(\mathrm{TR}\leq k\)) is approximately, (\(C^*\)-subalgebraically) locally, and tracially in some sense as functional calculus, a hereditary \(C^*\)-subalgebra of a matrix algebra over the \(C^*\)-algebra of all continuous functions on some space with dimension \(\leq k\) as a finite CW complex. The condition (\(\mathrm{TR}\leq k\)) implies the more general property \((P_k)\) but in the same context as replacement. An extension \(A\) of \(C^*\)-algebras is said to be quasidiagonal if the closed ideal \(I\) of \(A\) has an approximate unit of projections which commutes approximately with any element of \(A\). An extension \(A\) is said to be tracially quasidiagonal if \(A\) is approximately, locally, and tracially in some sense, a quasidiagonal extension. For instance, refer to some papers by \textit{H.-X. Lin}, such as [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 83, No. 1, 199--234 (2001; Zbl 1015.46031)] and others, and by \textit{S.-W. Hu} et al. [Math. Scand. 94, No. 1, 125--147 (2004; Zbl 1062.46044)]. Moreover, as for the condition (\(\mathrm{TR}\leq 1\)) in the classification theory of simple \(C^*\)-algebras, may as well refer to \textit{H.-X. Lin} [Invent. Math. 183, No. 2, 385--450 (2011; Zbl 1255.46031); Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 364, No. 4, 2021--2086 (2012; Zbl 1250.46040)] and others. | |||
