Let \(M\) and \(E\) be the endomorphism monoids of the rationals under strict and reflexive order, respectively, and let \(T\) be the full transformation monoid on some countable set, all of them endowed with the natural topology. It comes as no surprise that any isomorphism between \(M\) or \(E\) and a closed submonoid of \(T\) is a homeomorphism. \textit{Mutatis mutandis}, this property of \(M\) and \(E\) called ``automatic homeomorphicity'' also holds for the polymorphism clone on the rationals under the reflexive order, as well as for the clones generated by \(M\) and \(E\). The present theorems improve on related results of \textit{C. Pech} and \textit{M. Pech} [Monatsh. Math. 179, No. 1, 129--148 (2016; Zbl 1419.54040)] and draw heavily on work of \textit{M. Bodirsky} et al. [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 369, No. 5, 3707--3740 (2017; Zbl 1377.03021)].
