The author considers \(f(x):= Q(x)+\ell(x)\), where \(\ell\) is a linear polynomial and \(Q\) is a quadratic map associated with some positive definite lattice \(N\) with symmetric bilinear map \(B\). Then \(\ell(x)= 2B(v,x)\) for a unique choice of vector \(v\) in \(V:=\mathbb{Q} N\). Then the author calls \(m:= [\mathbb{Z}_v+ N:N]\) a conductor and restricts to ternary quadratic polynomials \(f\) with odd prime power conductor. Then, an effective characterization is given of those integral quadratic polynomials \(f\) which are almost universal, i.e. which represent all but finitely many positive integers.
