Podleś quantum spheres are examples of noncommutative homogeneous spaces which possess properties of the classical two-dimensional sphere \(\mathbb S^2\) [cf. \textit{P. Podleś}, Lett. Math. Phys. 14, 193-202 (1987; Zbl 0634.46054) and \textit{M. S. Dijkhuizen} and \textit{T. H. Koornwinder}, Geom. Dedicata 52, No. 3, 291-315 (1994; Zbl 0818.17017)]. They have been studied extensively in the context of all possible meanings of the word quantization. Moreover, Podleś quantum spheres have been used in the attempt of constructing Dirac operators and spectral triples on noncommutative spaces. In a more algebraic direction, \textit{U. Krähmer} [Isr. J. Math. 189, 237-266 (2012; Zbl 1272.16030)] recently proved that the so-called standard Podleś quantum sphere is Artin-Schelter regular and established the Van den Bergh duality. In the article under consideration, the authors extend the results of Krähmer by proving that all the Podleś quantum spheres are Auslander-regular, Cohen-Macaulay and Artin-Schelter regular (cf. Theorems 3.2 and 4.8).
