The authors propose a standard way to parametrize the boundary of a connected fractal tile \(T\). The parametrization is Hölder continuous from \({\mathbb R}/{\mathbb Z}\) to \(\partial T\) and fixed points of \(\partial T\) have algebraic preimages. They also study a class of planar tiles in detail as a sample case and discussed a relation with the recurrent set method by Dekking. When the tile \(T\) is a topological disk, this parametrization is a bi-Hölder homeomorphism.
