    Let \(1\leq p<\infty\) and \(\varphi(x,r)\) be a nonnegative function on \(\mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R_+\) such that \(\inf_{x\in\mathbb R^n}\inf_{r>\delta}\varphi(x,r)>0\) for every \(\delta>0\). The generalized Morrey space \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n)\) is defined as the space of functions \(f\in L_{\text{loc}}^p(\mathbb R^n)\) satisfying \(\|f\|_{\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}} :=\sup_{x\in\mathbb R^n, r>0}\bigl[\varphi(x,r)^{-1} \int_{|x-y|<r}|f(y)|^p\,dy\bigr]^{1/p}<\infty.\) For a weight function \(w\) on \(\mathbb R^n\), the weighted generalized Morrey space \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n,w)\) is defined as the space \(\{f; wf\in \mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n)\}\) with norm \(\|f\|_{\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n,w)} =\|wf\|_{\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}}\). In this paper, the authors assume that \(\inf_{x\in\mathbb R^n}\varphi(x,r)\geq cr^n, 0<r<1\). They use the classes of weights defined by \(V_+ =\{|w(t)-w(\tau)|\leq C(w(\max(t,\tau))/\max(t,\tau))|t-\tau|\}\) and \(V_- =\{|w(t)-w(\tau)|\leq C(w(\min(t,\tau))/\max(t,\tau))|t-\tau|\}\). For \(1<p<\infty\) they treat singular integral operators \(T\) defined by \(Tf(x)=\text{p.v.}\int_{\mathbb R^n}K(x,y)f(y)dy\) satisfying \(|K(x,y)|\leq C|x-y|^{-n}\). One of their main results is the following: if \(w\in V_+\), then \(|wT(f/w)(x)-Tf(x)| \leq C\bigl(H_w(|f|)(x)+\sum_{m=1}^{n-1}K_m(|f|)(x)+\mathcal K_1(|f|)(x)\bigr),\) and if \(w\in V_-\), then \(|wT(f/w)(x)-Tf(x)| \leq C\bigl(\mathcal H_w(|f|)(x)+\sum_{m=1}^{n-1}\mathcal K_m(|f|)(x) + K_1(|f|)(x)\bigr),\) where \(H_wf(x)=w(|x|)|x|^{-n}\int_{|y|<|x|}f(y)w(|y|)^{-1}\,dy\), \(\mathcal H_wf(x)=w(|x|)\int_{|y|>|x|}f(y)|y|^{-n}w(|y|)^{-1}\,dy\), \(K_mf(x)=|x|^{-m}\int_{|y|<|x|}f(y)|x-y|^{m-n}\,dy\), and \(\mathcal K_mf(x)=\int_{|y|>|x|}f(y)|y|^{-m}|x-y|^{m-n}\,dy\). Noting that \(T\) is bounded on \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n,w)\) iff \(wT(f/w)\) is bounded on \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n)\), they reduce the boundedness of \(T\) on \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n,w)\) to the \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n)\) boundedness of \(T\), \(H_w\), \(\mathcal H_w\), \(K_m\) and \(\mathcal K_m\), appearing in the above theorem. They give some sufficient conditions on \(w\) for which \(K_m\) and \(\mathcal K_m\) are bounded on \(\mathcal L^{p,\varphi}(\mathbb R^n)\). Several consequences are discussed. In the case \(\varphi(x,r)=\varphi(r)\), the authors also give sufficient conditions in terms of the Matuszewska-Orlicz indices of \(\varphi\) and \(w\).
