    The paper under review deals with mapping properties of classical Calderón-Zygmund operators in local and global Morrey spaces. Namely, the authors deal with the predual of the predual of \(L_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\), denoted by \(\dot{L}_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\). In this framework, they are able to use well-known transference arguments (which are not available in the case of global Morrey spaces \(L_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\)) and obtain the following result. { Theorem:} Let \(T_0\) be the classical Calderón-Zygmund operator \[ T_0 f(x)= \lim_{\varepsilon \to 0} \int_{|y|>\varepsilon} \frac{\Omega(y/|y|)}{ |y|^n } f(x-y)\,dy, \] with \(\mathrm{dom} \; T_0= D(\mathbb R^n)\). Let \(1<p<\infty\), \(0\leq n/p+r<n/p\). (i) Let \(\Omega\) be not identically zero. Then there is no linear and bounded extension of \(T_0\) to the local Morrey space \(\mathcal L_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\). (ii) There is a linear and bounded extension \(T\) of \(T_0\) to \(\dot{L}_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\), \[ T: \dot{L}_p^r(\mathbb R^n) \hookrightarrow \dot{L}_p^r (\mathbb R^n). \] (iii) There are linear and bounded extensions \(T\) of \(T_0\) to the global Morrey spaces \(L_p^r (\mathbb R^n)\), \[ T: {L}_p^r(\mathbb R^n) \hookrightarrow {L}_p^r (\mathbb R^n). \]
