This paper introduces a construction of new potentially nilpotent patterns based upon known potentially nilpotent patterns. Motivated by \textit{R. Pereira} [Electron. J. Linear Algebra 16, 232--236 (2007; Zbl 1155.15030)], the connection with the nilpotent-Jacobian method is investigated.
