The authors establish time semi-discrete and space-time fully discrete maximal parabolic regularity for the time discontinuous Galerkin solution of linear parabolic equations in two and three dimensions. Such results are essential in order to keep the spatial mesh size \(h\) and the time steps \(k\) independent of each other. This allows them to derive certain optimal a priori error estimates in non-Hilbertian norms.
