For a parametrized family of piecewise expanding interval maps \(T_a: [0,1] \rightarrow [0,1]\) and a point \(X(a) \in [0,1]\), \textit{D. Schnellmann} [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 31, No. 3, 877--911 (2011; Zbl 1253.37044)] showed for almost all parameters \(a\) that \(X(a)\) is typical with respect to an invariant measure of \(T_a\) which is absolutely continuous with respect to Lebesgue measure. In the paper under review, the author proves a corresponding result under different assumptions than those of Schnellmann [loc. cit.]. He also extends the result to classes of mappings not previously included in Schnellmann's [loc. cit.] results.
