The author continues the investigations of \textit{H. Carnal} [Z. Wahrscheinlichkeitstheor. Verw. Geb. 15, 168--176 (1970; Zbl 0193.46602)] and \textit{R. A. Dwyer} [Discrete Appl. Math. 31, No.~2, 113--132 (1991; Zbl 0736.52007)] on the asymptotic behavior of the expectations of the number of vertices, resp., facets, the surface area and the volume of the convex hull of a sample of \(n\) random points \({\mathbf X}_i\) in \({\mathbb R}^d\) with spherically symmetric distribution. For this purpose, an additional assumption on the marginal distribution of the random points \({\mathbf X}_i\) is made, namely that it is in the max-domain of attraction of the Gumbel distribution. Further, two other models are discussed where the marginal distributions are regularly varying or \(0\)-regularly varying.
