In this paper, the authors study the existence of unbounded solutions for the following weakly coupled system of ODEs by means of a Lyapunov function approach for discrete dynamical system: \[ x''_{j} + n_{j}^{2}x_{j} + h_{j}(x_1, \dots, x_d) = p_{j}(t), \quad j = 1, \dots, d, \] where the functions \(h_j\) are locally Lipschitz continuous and bounded, the functions \(p_j\) are continuous and \(2\pi-\)periodic. Here, it is assumed either global or asymptotic conditions on the coupling terms \(h_{1}, \dots, h_{d}\). Throughout the paper, four new theorems are proved on the unbounded solution of the above weakly coupled system of ODEs . Theorem 2.1 is on the existence of unbounded solutions under appropriate global assumptions imposed on the coupling terms. Then, in Theorem 2.3, a vectorial problem is considered by the same approach with Theorem 2.1. In Theorem 3.1 and Theorem 3.2, existence of unbounded solutions under asymptotic conditions with cyclic coupling terms, that is, \(h_j(x) = h_j(x_{j+1})\), and radial coupling terms, that is, nonlinear coupling terms \(h_j\) depends only on the Euclidean norm of the vector solution \(h_j(x) = h_j(|x|)\), is studied, respectively. There is no example as applications of the given theorems.
