Let \(K\) be a symmetric convex body in \(R^N\) for which the Euclidean ball \(B_2^N\) is the minimal volume circumscribed ellipsoid. The paper gives asymptotically optimal estimates for the distance of a ``typical'' rank \(n\) projection of \(K\) to \(B_2^n\) for all \(n<N\).
