In part I [ibid. 38, No. 1/2, 95-106 (1990; Zbl 0707.51014)] the authors have shown that every ovoid of the projective space \(PG(3,16)\) is an elliptic quadric, using a computer. In part II, they give a computer-free proof of this result. This proof depends on work of \textit{D. G. Glynn} and the second author [A plane representation of ovoids, to appear] and the authors [Eur. J. Comb. 12, No. 1, 51-59 (1991; Zbl 0721.51011)]. A large part of the proof consists in excluding Lunelly-Sce ovals as plane sections of an ovoid in \(PG(3,16)\).
