The WZW theory based on the affine Lie algebra \(\widehat{so}(N)\) at level one is investigated from the point of view of superselection sectors. Using free fermion representation of the affine algebra the endomorphisms representing the superselection sectors on the observable algebra are constructed as endomorphisms of the underlying Majorana algebra. They do not close on the chiral algebra but a larger algebra is constructed on which they do close.
