The investigation on the boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators and the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator in various function spaces over spaces of homogeneous type has been a hot topic. One of main reasons is that the above operators play key roles in applications of many areas of analysis, including Harmonic Analysis, complex function theory, and PDE. This paper belongs to this topic. To be more precise, the authors established the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator in abstract extrapolation Banach function lattices and their Kothe dual spaces, which are generated by compatible families of Banach function lattices on quasi-metric measure spaces with doubling measure. These results combined with a variant of the integral Coifman-Fefferman inequality imply that every Calderon-Zygmund singular operator is bounded in considered extrapolation spaces. As applications, some positive results on extrapolation spaces determined by compatible families of Calderon-Lozanovskii spaces as well as compatible families of Orlicz spaces that are interpolation of weighted \(L^p\)-spaces \((1<p<\infty\)) with \(A_p\) weights defined on spaces of homogeneous type are also established in this paper. Generally speaking, this paper is very interesting and well written. Particularly, the outline of this paper and the proofs are very clear. It is worth mentioning that the method used in proving the main results involves some nontrivial techniques of analysis. I believe that this work may attract more attentions. In a word, this article is a nice piece of work.
