The authors prove an existence result for the Dirichlet problem with homogeneous data for the semi-linear corner-degenerate elliptic equation \(\Delta_{\mathbb{M}}u = g(z,u), z=(r,x,t) \in \mathbb{M}=[0,1) \times X \times [0,1)\), where \(X\) is a closed compact submanifold of dimension \(n\) of the unit sphere in \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\) and \(\Delta_{\mathbb{M}}=(r\partial_{r})^{2}+\Delta_{x}+(rt\partial_{t})^{2}\) is the corner-Laplacian on this manifold. Sufficient conditions on \(g\) are given so that the Dirichlet problem admits infinity many weak solutions in a corner type weighted \(p\)-Sobolev space. The proof uses methods of variational analysis and standard properties for corner type weighted \(p\)-Sobolev spaces which are proved in the paper: continuous and compact embedding, Sobolev and Poincaré inequalities.
