The authors consider Cauchy problem for nonstationary Navier-Stokes equations in the whole space, the derivatives in the weak solutions are understood in the sense of distribution theory. The authors revisit some uniqueness theorems [by \textit{J. Serrin}, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 9, 187--195 (1962; Zbl 0106.18302), by \textit{W. von Wahl}, The equations of Navier-Stokes and abstract parabolic equations, Vieweg\,\&\,Sohn, Wiesbaden (1985), by \textit{G. Furioli}, \textit{P. G. Lemarié-Rieusset} and \textit{E. Terraneo}, Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 16, No. 3, 605--667 (2000; Zbl 0970.35101) and by \textit{P.-L. Lions} and \textit{N. Masmoudi}, C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I, Math. 327, No. 5, 491--496 (1998; Zbl 0990.35114)] and demonstrate that all these results can be obtained in more general setting, namely by using the space of multipliers between \(H^1\) and \(L^2\).
