This paper is devoted to study the group gradings by an Abelian group \(G\) on simple Jordan algebras by means of the method of functional identities. Mild restrictions on the grading group \(G\) or on the base field of coefficients are considered. The authors discuss when a homomorphism of algebras can be constructed from a surjective Jordan homomorphism.
