The paper represents a continuation of the endeavour to generalize some concepts with regard to fuzzy ordering and equivalence relations. Namely, it deals with so-called similarity measures and their properties. The main result of the paper means that three additional parameters only, added to the classical general form of cardinality-based fuzzy similarity measures, guarantee their reflexivity and validity not being restricted to rational measures. This result means a significant generalization of the concept of cardinality-based similarity measures, and an extension of their class.
