The author investigates lumping for Feller processes (see the monograph by Böttcher, Schilling and Wang [\textit{B. Böttcher} et al., Lévy matters III. Lévy-type processes: construction, approximation and sample path properties. Cham: Springer (2013; Zbl 1384.60004)] for details) in the context of \(C^*\)-algebras. On the level of the associated Markov processes, lumping means identifying states in the state space. Some application of lumping in connection with stochastic processes is attempted.
