The results given in this article on the Liénard system \[ \dot{x}=y, \quad \dot{y}=-g(x)-f(x)y, \] represent an attempt to classify the isochronous systems of a significant infinite-dimensional family of planar polynomial systems. Although the authors are not able to complete this classification, they prove that all such systems with degree at most \(34\) with an isochronous center must be of the simple form \[ \dot{x}=y, \quad \dot{y}=-x-\frac{1}{x^3}\left ( \int_{0}^{x}\xi f(\xi)d\xi\right )^{2}-yf(x) \] with \(f(x)\) odd.
