This paper deals with Liouville type theorems for arbitrarily growing positive viscosity supersolutions of fully nonlinear uniformly elliptic equations in the half space \(\{x_> 0\}\), \(n\geq 2\). More precisely, the inequality \(M^-(D^2 u)+ u^p\leq 0\), \(M^-\) being the Pucci inf-operator, does not possess any positive viscosity solution provided that \(-1\leq p\leq C\), where the constant \(C> 0\) depends on \(M^-\). On the other hand, positive solutions exist if either \(p<-1\) or \(p\gg 1\). The proof relies on the construction of explicit subsolutions of \(M^-(D^2u)= 0\) and on a nonlinear version in \(\{x_n> 0\}\) of the Hadamard three circles theorem for entire superharmonic functions.
