Knowing the properties of Mori fiber spaces is one of the key tools in the context of the minimal model program. This paper contributes to a better understanding of the structure of these objects in the case when Ionescu-Wiśniewski inequality is infact an equality. In this case the authors give a strong version of the Andreatta-Wiśniewski conjecture [\textit{M. Andreatta} and \textit{J. A. Wiśniewski}, Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 62(pt.1), 153--183 (1997; Zbl 0948.14014)]. They prove that any elementary contraction of fiber type of a quasi projective manifold is birational to a projective bundle. The same is proven to hold for any irreducible component of the exceptional locus for any admissible elementary birational contraction from a quasi-projective manifold.
