This is a survey article for the mathematical theory of Witten's Gauged Linear Sigma Model (GLSM). After a brief introduction in Section 2 the basic setting as Geometric Invariant Theory and symplectic quotients are given. Sections 3--4 are devoted to the description of GLSM moduli space and hypersurfaces in weighted projective space. Complete intersection in weighted projective space and the GLSM moduli space for a complete intersection are considered in Section 5. The remainder of the paper is focused on generalized graph spaces and non-abelian examples of the moduli spaces for various choices of input data.
