Computation of fixed point index and applications to superlinear periodic problem (Q288088): Difference between revisions

The authors of this interesting paper first compute in certain cases the fixed point index which was introduced by \textit{C. T. Cremins} [Nonlinear Anal. 46, 789--806 (2001; Zbl 1015.47041] in order to solve semilinear operator equations in ordered Banach spaces. Using their results, they then establish the existence of positive solutions to both first and second order superlinear periodic boundary value problems.
