The Lie algebras \(W(\ell_1,\ell_2,\ell_3,\Gamma)\) of generalized Witt type considered here were constructed by \textit{X. Xu} [J. Algebra 224, 23-58 (2000; Zbl 0955.17019)]. They are defined over an algebraically closed field \(\mathbb F\) of characteristic 0 by using the usual bracket on \(\mathcal A \otimes \mathcal D\) where \(\mathcal A\) is a commutative associative algebra with basis indexed by \(\Gamma\), a certain nondegenerate additive subgroup of \(\mathbb F^{\ell_2+\ell_3}\), and \(\mathbb Z_+^{\ell_1+\ell_2}\) for \(\mathbb Z_+\) the nonnegative integers, and \(\mathcal D\) is a certain algebra of derivations of \(\mathcal A\). The authors determine a certain wide class of representations of such Lie algebras.
