The authors consider the nonlinear autonomous differential equation \[ f'''+(1+\lambda) ff''+ 2\lambda(1- f')f'= 0\quad\text{on }[0,\infty)\tag{1} \] with the boundary conditions \[ f(0)=\alpha,\quad f'(0)=\beta\quad\text{and }f'(\infty)= 1,\tag{2} \] where \(\beta> 0\) and \(f''(\infty):=\lim_{t\to\infty} f'(t)\). The authors interested in the case \(\lambda> 0\), and prove existence and uniqueness of the solution of (1) and (2) whose second derivative does not vanish.
