Assuming that a compact \(n\)-dimensional Riemannian spin-manifold \((M,g)\) admits a \(G\)-structure with characteristic connection \(\nabla\) and parallel torsion \(\nabla T=0\), the authors consider the Dirac operator \(D^{1/3}\) corresponding to the torsion \(T/3\). They describe a general method of computation for the lower bounds of the eigenvalues of \(D^{1/3}\) by the deformation of the spinorial connection. In order to obtain explicit bounds, each geometric structure has to be investigated separately, and this is done in complete generality for 4-dimensions, and 5-dimensional Sasaki manifolds. Contents include: Introduction; Schrödinger-Lichnerowicz formulas for the deformation of the connection; 4-dimensional manifolds with parallel torsion; 5-dimensional Sasakian manifolds.
