    The paper deals with a cellular neural network system described by a time-varying delayed differential equation with discontinuous right-hand side. The main goal consists in the fact that the neuron activation functions are allowed to be unbounded and non-monotonic. The authors give conditions for the existence of a periodic solution (in the sense of Fillipov), its uniqueness and global exponential stability. Finally, two numerical examples are presented. The approach used in this paper encompass differential inclusions, topological degree theory and the notion of Lyapunov functions.
