The authors produce new solutions for the Allen-Cahn equation in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) \[ \Delta u + u(1-u^2) = 0, \] which have positive Morse index. These are important results, on one hand because of the connection between the level sets of solutions (in particular nodal sets) and minimal surfaces, and on the other hand because one is able to provide explicit asymptotic behavior of solutions. Among other methods, the authors use fixed point, gluing and Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction techniques.
