    In this paper, the author considers a multidimensional two-phase Stefan problem for degenerate parabolic equations of the porous medium type in the class of smooth functions. In order to prove the local existence in time of a smooth solution, the author finds a natural Hölder class for the Dirichlet boundary conditions in the initial boundary boundary problem for a degenerate parabolic equation of second order. Thanks to ``good'' Schauder estimates for a degenerate parabolic equation with dynamic boundary condition, the author proves the local existence of smooth solutions by linearizing the original problem.
