In the article projective representations of mapping class groups for a compact oriented surface \(\Sigma_{g,n}\) of genus \(g\) with \(n\) open discs removed are constructed. The construction uses the algebra \(\mathcal{L}(\Sigma_{g,n})\) introduced in [\textit{A. Yu. Alekseev} et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 172, No. 2, 317--358 (1995; Zbl 0842.58037)] and [\textit{E. Buffenoir} and \textit{Ph. Roche}, Commun. Math. Phys. 181, No. 2, 331--365 (1996; Zbl 0857.58046)] in combinatorial quantization of the moduli spaces of flat connections on \(\Sigma_{g,n}\). Here the gauge Hopf algebra \(H\) is finite-dimensional, factorizable and ribbon. Furthermore, the article gives explicit formulae for tge Dehn twists generating the mapping class group. Finally, the author shows that the projective representations are equivalent to representations obtained by Lyubashenko via categorical methods.
