In this article, the author studies Hsiung-Minkowski identities relating mean curvatures of a closed immersed hypersurface. To begin with, the author introduces the notion of positive vector field \(P\) that satisfies the following property: there exists a function \(f\) such that for any vector field \(X\), we have \(\nabla_X P = fX\). In Theorem 2.2, the author proves three generalized Hsiung-Minkowski identities for a hypersurface which mainly relate the mean curvatures of the hypersurface, a position vector field in a tubular neighborhood of the hypersurface, and the Ricci curvatures of the ambient space; see Equations (19--21) of the paper. As an application, the author proves an interesting result (Theorem 3.3) for a closed hypersurface \(N\) in an Einstein manifolds. The author uses the integral involving the positive vector field over \(N\) to give a characterization of the flatness as well as umbilicity of \(N\).
