In this short paper, the author proves that for any graph \(G\) and any \(\varepsilon>0\), there is a subdivision of \(G\) all of whose chromatic roots lie in \(|z-1|< 1+\varepsilon\). An interesting corollary follows from this result, viz. for any fixed positive \(\varepsilon\), there are large subdivisions of any graph for which the roots all lie in \(\{0\}\cup [1,2+\varepsilon)\).
