Given a non-empty convex subset \(\Gamma \subseteq \mathbb{R}^d\), the space of Laplace transformable distributions on \(\Gamma\) is defined by \[ \mathcal{S}'(\Gamma) = \{f\in \mathcal{D}'(\mathbb{R}^d) \mid e^{-\xi\cdot x} f(x) \in \mathcal{S}'(\mathbb{R}^d_x)\text{ for all }\xi\in \Gamma\}. \] It is known that this space is complete, nuclear and dual-nuclear [\textit{M. Kunzinger} et al., J. Math. Anal. Appl. 478, No. 2, 990--1004 (2019; Zbl 1429.35071)]. In the paper under review, the authors explore the locally convex structure of \(\mathcal{S}'(\Gamma)\) further. They show that it is an ultrabornological (PLS)-space and that it admits a weighted (LF)-space of smooth functions on \(\mathbb{R}^d\) as a topological predual. The underlying strategy for proving these results is to identify \(\mathcal{S}'(\Gamma)\) with a suitable convolutor space, whose ultrabornologicity can be characterized in terms of the short time Fourier transform.
