Let \(\mathbb{F}_q\) be the finite field with \(q\) elements, where \(q\) is a prime power. An \([n,k]_q\) code \(C\) over is said to be LCD code if \(C \cap C^{\perp} = \{ 0 \}\), where \(C^\perp\) denotes the dual code of \(C\). The concept of LCD codes was introduced by Massey and has important relevance in coding for data storage. In this paper, the authors discuss the nonexistence of some quaternary Hermitian linear complementary dual codes, extending some results in [\textit{M. Araya} et al., Des. Codes Cryptography 89, No. 4, 617--640 (2021; Zbl 1477.94071)].
