For a compact almost complex manifold \(X\) the authors construct, by ``integrating'' closed (1,0)-forms, a complex torus \(\text{Alb}(X)\) and a holomorphic map \(\Psi: X\to\text{Alb}(X)\) such that all holomorphic maps from \(X\) to an arbitrary complex torus factorize over it and thus \(\Psi\) is equivariant with respect to almost-complex diffeomorphisms of \(X\). This generalizes the ``Albanese torus'' of the integrable case.
