The authors introduce the notion of the approximate \(m\)-smoothness of functions and investigate the properties of approximately continuous and approximately \(m\)-smooth functions. The inspiration of the authors was the paper of \textit{T. K. Dutta} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci.
