For part II see \textit{A. G. O'Farrell} and the author in Math. Z. 212, No. 2, 153-156 (1993; Zbl 0789.30028). For a large class of functions \(G\), defined in a neighborhood of the origin in the complex plane, which behave like \(\bar z^ m\), it is shown that on sufficiently small closed disks \(D\) around 0, every continuous function on \(D\) can be approximated uniformly on \(D\) by polynomials in \(z^ m\) and \(G\).
