The paper considers an \(M/G/1\) priority retrial queueing system with two types of calls, the priority queue having a finite capacity. Both the arrival processes are Poisson but have different arrival rates. The authors obtain the following results: (i) the joint generating function of the queue sizes, (ii) some performance measures like (a) the loss probability of priority calls and (b) the mean number of calls in the priority queue and in the retrial group. Some numerical examples are also presented on these performance measures.
