A bosonization construction \(B\rtimes H\) for a Hopf algebra \(B\) living in the category of modules \({_H{\mathcal M}}\) over a quantum group \(H\) was introduced by Majid as a result of the following observations: a) Radford's description of a biproduct Hopf algebra \(B\rtimes H\) is equivalently interpreted as \(B\) being an object of the category \({^H_H{\mathcal M}}\) of crossed modules; b) if \(H\) is a quantum group then there exists a canonical embedding of braided categories \({_H{\mathcal M}}\to{^H_H{\mathcal M}}\). Majid also extended the notion of quasitriangular Hopf algebra (\(\equiv\) quantum group) to the case of a braided category. In the present paper the author develops these results considering bosonization for a braided base category instead of the category of vector spaces. The same subject was studied by \textit{Yu. Bespalov} [Appl. Cat. Struct. 5, No. 2, 155-204 (1997; Zbl 0881.18010)], where it is also emphasized that the braided bosonization \(B\rtimes H\) is quasitriangular if \(B\) is. It was noted by Majid that a quantum plane is a Hopf algebra in the category of comodules over the corresponding quantum group. This gives a setting for a dual bosonization procedure. In the present paper the author explicitly calculates the Hopf algebra structure of the resulting inhomogeneous quantum group.
