The author shows that split Jordan pairs over rings without 2-torsion can be distinguished by polynomial identities with integer coefficients. In particular, this is true for simple finite-dimensional Jordan pairs over algebraically closed fields of characteristic \(\neq 2\). He also generalizes results of \textit{V. Drensky} and \textit{M. L. Racine} [Commun. Algebra 20, 309-327 (1992; Zbl 0745.17027)] on polynomial identities of Jordan algebras, and results of \textit{Z. Rached} and \textit{M. L. Racine} [ibid. 24, 963-1001 (1996; Zbl 0848.17045); Comm. Algebra 25, 2687-2702 (1997; Zbl 0881.17032)] on polynomial identities of Jordan triple systems.
