The author considers the system \[ \begin{aligned} \dot x &= Ax+ B(\varphi(x,u)+ u)+ g(x,u),\\ Y & = Cx\end{aligned} \] which has \(x= 0\) as equilibrium provided \(u\equiv 0\). Under suitable (but natural) assumptions, a feedback control \[ u= Kx-\phi(x) \] which makes the equilibrium globally exponentially stable is synthesized. Further, a nonlinear state detector is constructed and the stabilizing character of the compensator thus designed is proved using a quadratic Lyapunov function.
